Chris Harris grew up in and around Central Texas.  After graduating from Midway High School near Waco, he moved to East Texas where he attended Stephen F. Austin State University.   Being a lifelong musician, he developed an interest in the law and in intellectual property when he began copyrighting some of his own musical material.  After college, he played as a full-time musician for 2 years before entering law school at Baylor University.  After graduating from law school, he relocated to Dallas to work with the firm of Griffith & Nixon, P.C., where he obtained an extensive background and knowledge in virtually all areas related to business litigation and insurance defense, with an emphasis in construction law.  In addition to construction law, he has a wealth of experience in the areas of entertainment law and medical malpractice litigation.  Chris moved back to the Central Texas area in 2001 to escape metropolitan traffic and to broaden the scope of his practice.  While he continues to represent general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, and businesses of all sizes, his practice consistently encompasses areas as diverse as trademark law and family law.  In 2005, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of managing and owning a "small town" law firm when he and the other members of the firm established "Amsler & Amsler, P.C." in the same location that Joe and Margaret Amsler established their firm almost forty years ago.  Chris has been married to his high school sweetheart since 1990, and he is the proud parent of Jaimee (16), Robert (9), and Michael (6).
